Siemens & Neff Washing Machine Repair in Dublin

Siemens and Neff are BSH machines — the same family as Bosch, on the same platform, with the same error-code logic. That means E18 and E23 mean exactly what they mean on a Bosch, and parts are priced like Bosch. Neff machines are usually built-in, and we handle the access work as part of the job.

If you understand Bosch, you understand Siemens and Neff. All three are BSH brands. Siemens iQ300 and iQ500 machines sit in plenty of Dublin homes — bought by owners who wanted Bosch engineering with a different front panel — in semis in Rathfarnham, Blackrock and Malahide and in quality apartment fits. Neff is BSH's built-in brand, so a Neff washing machine is almost always integrated: hidden behind a kitchen door, on a plinth, in the fitted kitchens of new builds and refits across the city. Our Bosch repair page tells the same engineering story, and our washing machine repair Dublin round has covered BSH machines since 1999.

The fact a template cannot fake: one platform, one code book

BSH builds Siemens, Neff and Bosch machines on shared platforms with shared fault logic. The pump that fits a Bosch Serie machine fits its Siemens equivalent; the door lock logic is the same; and, most usefully for you, the error codes carry across. When a Siemens shows E18, it is the Bosch E18 drain fault. When it shows E23, it is the Bosch E23 water-in-the-base fault. We link you to the Bosch code pages below because they are, in every practical sense, your code pages too.

Codes: E18 and E23, exactly as Bosch

  • E18 — not draining. The drum has not emptied in time: blocked filter, blocked hose or a worn pump. Full detail on our Bosch E18 page, and the general checks in our not draining guide.
  • E23 — water in the base. The anti-flood system has found water in the base tray and stopped the machine, often with the pump running on. Isolate at the stopcock and do not keep restarting it — see our Bosch E23 page and the leaking machine guide.
  • Door locks and drums that will not turn. A click and no start is the interlock; a motor hum with a still drum needs hands-on diagnosis — start with drum not turning.

Neff means integrated — the access work matters

A built-in Neff cannot just be pulled out like a freestanding machine. The kitchen door comes off its hinges on the machine door, plinths are removed, and the machine is eased out without damaging the units either side. That access work is part of our job, not an extra surprise: it is covered in the call-out and the fixed written price, and it is the same work described on our integrated washing machine repair Dublin page. Tell us when booking that the machine is integrated, so the engineer allows the extra time and brings the right trim tools.

Parts reality in Ireland — priced like Bosch

Because the platform is Bosch's, parts availability in Ireland is among the best of any brand on this site. Pumps, locks, elements and seals are stocked here and the common ones travel on the van. Siemens-badged trim and Neff-specific door fittings can take a few days from EU stock, but the working parts — the ones that stop your wash — are Bosch-family parts at Bosch-family prices. Genuine or quality pattern, we tell you which before the price is fixed. No second call-out charge if a part must be ordered.

What happens on the visit

Book on 645 465-6305 and tell us three things: the badge, the model number, and whether the machine is freestanding or integrated. That last point changes the job plan, not the price — the engineer allows time for door and plinth work on a Neff and brings the BSH-family parts the code points to. Diagnosis first, fixed written price second, work third, and a full test cycle before the machine goes back into its housing. BSH machines also show their quality in the small faults: a door seal that has perished after years of service, an element scaled in a harder-water home — parts of Dublin normally supplied by Leixlip at around 200 mg/L, or by Bog of the Ring at around 336 mg/L in north Fingal — or a lock that has simply done its years. All of those sit inside the standard €149–€249 band, and none of them is a reason to replace a machine from a family built to last well past its first fault. In a rented home, the landlord normally carries the repair cost, and we handle agent paperwork and tenant access as standard.

Yes. Siemens is a BSH brand on the Bosch platform, so E18 is the same drain fault with the same causes: filter, hose or pump. Our Bosch E18 page applies in full.

Water in the base tray — the anti-flood system has stopped the machine. Turn the water off at the stopcock, do not restart it, and book a repair so the leak source can be traced. It is the same E23 as on Bosch machines.

No. Removing the kitchen door, plinth and easing the machine out is part of the job and covered by the €79 call-out, which is credited against the repair. Just tell us it is integrated when you book so we allow the time.

Yes — it is the same platform. Working parts are priced and stocked like Bosch parts in Ireland. Only badge-specific trim occasionally takes a few days.
